Classroom Tip from JASON
It's a great day for a
snowball fight! Use this technique in your classroom
to encourage discussion. Ask the students a
question...for example, "Please name an invasive
species." The students write down their answer on a
half sheet of paper, then ball it up and throw them
like snowballs! Each student should end up with a
snowball that they then unravel and give the answer.
Students are much more likely to share an answer they
don't have to "own." Discuss the different answers.
This can be used at any grade level with any subject!
Are You a Member of

among the membership of Blue Ridge PBS, due in large
part to the services and programming we deliver to the

you'll consider supporting the educational mission of
the station with your financial support. You can make
